Marcos Fuentes Integrated School is situated in an area of Roxas City where many poverty stricken children live, and it was decided that it would be the beneficiary for this project on a budget of P30-40,000, that would allow for P2,500 a week.
The school chose 180 of their children known to suffer from malnutrition to be a part of this project. The children were weighed and recorded before the first feeding. The project has been ongoing now for 2 weeks and the teachers are saying that there already is a noticeable difference in the children’s study attitude and they are much happier and attentive now.
What is unique about this project is that the school has their own garden and they are able to supplement the feeding with vegetables that they have home grown. We are always looking for International Partners and Sister Clubs.
