The Rotary Club of Malate in Manila traces its roots from the Rotary Club of Ermita Manila. During the incumbency of PP Dionisio “Diony” Magpantay, the proposed Rotary Club of Malate Manila was conceived to cover the twin district of Ermita in the Tourist Belt area. However, it was during the term of PP Daniel “Dan” B. Tenorio that the organization of the club was finally approved by then District Governor, Francisco “Frankie” Roman with PP Jaime “Jimmy” P. Corpin as the District Governor’s Special Representative (DGSR). A core group led by PP Raul “Jun” J. de Vera, Jr. began their meeting at the Allegria Lounge of Holiday Inn, Manila, every Thursday under the sponsorship of Casino Filipino. The then, economic conditions of the country, however, slowed down the recruitment of club members.
Today, the RACLB, on its pursuit to empower the community, plans and executes projects to reach out to the Los Banos community.
Club meets at 7:30pm every Tuesday at Midas Cafe, Midas Hotel, Roxas Boulevard near corner EDSA, Pasay City
